Lee’s Summit R7 School District High School Athletic Facilities

The Lee’s Summit School District operates from the principle that athletics and activities provide a unifying influence within its student body, between its schools, and in the community. These principals found fresh ground at the district’s three athletic complexes in 2021, where renovations resulted in new and expanded press boxes, new concessions, new and renovated restrooms, fencing, elevators, and ticket booths. In the full project scope, each location benefits from improved safety, expanded capacity, and upgraded aging infrastructure at the district’s complexes.

While aggressive schedules, constrained sites, limited access, and weather challenges were common denominators across the three projects, the schools’ box offices opened on time and teams took to the fields as scheduled. In Lee’s Summit, community spirit definitely embodied the renovation projects. That, coupled with hefty doses of school pride.

At Lee's Summit North High School, Monarch's scope included removing the press box's third-floor roof down to the concrete and building steel-framed walls to create a newly-added fourth floor. A new elevator was also installed. Additional features include new ticket booths, concession stands, renovated and expanded restrooms, concrete work, site work, and new fencing around the complex.
